MO BUS : inaugurated by Hon'ble CM
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Tuesday launched the technology-driven and citizen-friendly Mo bus service featuring free wi-fi, CCTV surveillance, public information display system and on board announcements in the city.
After flagging off the bus service, Patnaik himself travelled in the bus with the passengers from Biju Patnaik Patnaik Intern Airport to Odisha Assembly.
The state government-owned Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) sources said the 'Mo bus' service will cover nine routes in the state capital in the first phase.
It will also provide the Mo Bus mobile app through which passengers can book their tickets and get to know the locations of the vehicle to minimise their waiting time at the bus queue shelters (BQS), they said.
The BQS will have advanced features like digital screens to display the bus route numbers and their arrival times for the waiting passengers, he said.
The bus service has been launched for the residents of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri, they said.
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner, Krishan Kumar informed that around 300 buses will be rolled out in three phases. In the first phase a total hundred buses will begin plying from Wednesday 11 AM.
Kumar said the buses will operate daily for 15 hours from 7 AM to 10 PM on 9 routes according to the network plan finalised earlier. Following the launch, buses will be available in gaps of 10-12 minutes duration for commuters.
The Phase-II of the bus service is scheduled to be launched from November 15 while the Phase-III will be rolled out on December 10.
Tiger in Gujrat State Secretariat
Ahmedabad: A leopard entered the state secretariat in Gujarat on Monday. the animal was finally caught late in the afternoon, after hours of search. Sources told Times Now news channel that the leopard entered the premises of the state secretariat at 2 am. Cages and tranquilisers have been set up and forest officials are on the spot. It may be noted that this is the main building of the Gujarat government where all the government work happens, all ministries departments work from the building.
This is the third case of man-animal conflict in the recent past in the country to have grabbed headlines on the backdrop of the recent hunt of man-eating tigress Avni, in Maharashtra's Yavatmal district and the killing of a tigress by UP villagers off Pilbhit.

Ease of doing of business : India ranks 77
India Surges 23 Ranks in ease of doing Business with port-led Development under Sagarmala Improving ‘Trading Across Border’
As per the World Bank report 2019 on Ease of Doing Business, India has taken a huge leap of 23 ranks from 100 in 2017-18 to 77 in 2018-19 indicating it is continuing its steady shift towards global standards. One of the key indices which has contributed immensely toward this growth is ‘Trading across borders’ which shows an impressive improvement from 146 rank last year to 80th rank this year.
The Ministry of Shipping has been taking initiatives to improve the parameter of ‘Trading across border’ as 92% of India’s Export- Import trade by volume is handled at ports.
The report mentions that this is mainly due to India’s continued reform agenda, which has made it the top-ranked economy in the region. Upgradation of port infrastructure, Improvement of processes, and digitization of document submission has substantially reduced Export/Import cargo handling time at ports which hassignificantly contributed towards improving the trading across border parameter and India’s impressive growth in the World Bank’s report. The World Bank has recognized India as one of the top improvers for the year.
