The 40th Cabinet meeting was held today chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and approved 10 important proposals from seven departments.

1. Energy Department : OPTCL will set up a Rs 854 crore 400 KV grid station and transmission line. 

2. Energy Department : The thermal power policy has also been revised.

3. OLLC Department : Formulation of Odisha Archaeological Curator Service (Method of Recruitment and conditions of service ) Rules, 2026

4.  ST & SC Dev Department : Framing of Odisha Ministerial Service (MR&CS of Junior Assistant, Senior Assistant, ASO & SO in the District Offices and offices subordinate tgereto under ST&SC Dev Department ) Rules, 2026

5. Fisheries & ARD Department : Enactment of New OMFRA Legislation 2026

6. Law Department : Appointment and service condition of Court Managers in High Court and District Court

7. Law Department : Enactment of Odisha Repealing Rules, 2026 which shall repeal 358 number of Acts

Restructuring of Odisha Sub-Ordinate Statistical Surveyors (OSSS) Cadre

Odisha Cabinet on 21.11.2025 has approved the proposal for Restructuring of Odisha Sub-Ordinate Statistical Surveyors Cadre under Planning & Convergence Department. 

Accordingly, the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Statistical Surveyors (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2015 will be amended.
