Adivasi Mela 2021

Odisha Adivasi Mela is organized every year in Bhubaneswar since 1954, where thousands of people come and celebrate the state's tribal life and culture.

Due to the prevailing COVID 19 situation, this year it has been decided to adopt a hybrid approach wherein the Odisha Adivasi Mela 2021 will have a physical as well as virtual presence. To popularise the virtual mela, a comprehensive social media marketing plan has been devised which has multiple components. Dedicated social media handles on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube have been created to reach out to more people and increase awareness about the event.

The communication strategy has been built around the various tribes, their life and culture and their heritage. Through social media posts, attempt to reach out to the relevant target groups is being made. Various activities will be undertaken to engage the social media followers and keep them updated on the events of the Odisha Adivasi Mela 2021.

Adivasi Mela 2021 would be conducted physically from 26.01.2021 till 09.02.2021 in the Adivasi Exhibition Ground located in Unit-1 area of Bhubaneswar and its timing would be from 11 AM till 7 PM of each day.

All Covid-19 protocols would be followed scrupulously. For the convenience for the intending visitors, online registration would be made from 23.01.2021 through the website of the Adivasi Mela 2021. General public would be requested to avail this facility and may register online for their smooth entry into the Mela Ground. However, this is desirable but not mandatory.

Met today with the Cabinet Secretary (Government of India) and handed him over a copy of our letter dated 16th January, 2021, expressing our anguish over freezing of Dearness Allowance/Dearness Relief payable to the Central Government Employees and Pensioners/Family Pensioners.
