Request for immediate shifting of ASO to Covid Hospital
50 ASOs along with 15 DEOs were deployed to BMC for Covid Management till 19.09.2020. (Deployment Order. Pdf)
They were attached to different wards of BMC as well as some Covid Hospitals.
In the meantime one ASO deployed at Ward-46 has symptoms such as severe headache, high fever etc. In this regard, BMC has been requested to intervene in the matter and make necessary arrangements to shift the ASO to a Covid Hospital immediately.
In addition to this, OSSA has written letter to Principal Secretary, Home Department with request to advice BMC Authorities to take proper care of the deployed ASOs.
Two young IAS officers relieved from Ganjam (Covid Management)
While 2015 Batch IAS Parul Patawari is appointed as Special ADM Bhubaneswar, 2016 Batch IAS Vishal Singh is appointed Special ADM Khurda.
Ms.Patawari will handle Urban Zones of Capital City and Mr.Singh will oversee Covid Management in Rural Zones of the District.

Deployment of ASO and DEOs to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC)
The services of the 50 Assistant Section Officers and 15 Dara Entry Operators of Administrative Departments mentioned against each as below are placed at the disposal of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on deployment till 19.09.2020. The officers deployed are directed to report joining in BMC forth with to work with the BMC team for COVID-19 pandemic.
The salary of the concerned employees shall be drawn by respective Administrative Departments as usual.
Duty: As per press meet of Commissioner, BMC these Officers (ASO) will be tagged to different wards. They will help JDCs and reach common people along with Ward Officers.
