Parliament Question on Reconsideration of Retirement Age on 30-year Service

1505. SHRI TEJASVI SURYA:
Will the PRIME MINISTER be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government proposes to revise the age of superannuation of all Government employees after completing a maximum service period of 30 years or completing 60 years as per the date of birth, whichever is earlier, so as to have uniformity in civil services & also provide an opportunity for youth of the Nation in light of the available data on eligible youth for employment i.e., those who are borne after 2000;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) if not, whether there is any reconsideration regarding the age of retirement for Government employees; and
(d) the measures taken by the Government to provide more employment for the youth in civil services?
ANSWER
(DR. JITENDRA SINGH)
(a) to (c): No such proposal is under consideration of the Government.
(d): Government is constantly engaged in formulation of polices, programmes and other measures for providing employment for the youth in civil services, based on the requirement as per Transaction of Business in the Government. Ministries/ Departments of the Central Government have been directed from time to time, to fill up vacant posts in a time bound manner. Rozgar Melas are organized by the Government for filling up vacancies in Mission Mode across all the Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSUs)/ Autonomous Bodies/ Education and Health Institutions etc.in a time bound manner, providing employment to youth in civil services.

ନୂତନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପରିଷଦର ଶପଥ ଗ୍ରହଣ ସମାରୋହ
ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ନୂତନ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପରିଷଦର ଶପଥ ଗ୍ରହଣ ସମାରୋହ ଆଜି ସନ୍ଧ୍ୟା ୫ଟାରେ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ବର ଜନତା ମୈଦାନରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହେବ। ମାନ୍ୟବର ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ନରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମୋଦୀ ଏହି ସମାରୋହରେ ସଦୟ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ରହିବେ।
ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ସିଧାପ୍ରସାରଣ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବୈଦ୍ୟୁତିକ ଗଣମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଦେଖିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ସୂଚନା ଓ ଲୋକସମ୍ପର୍କ ବିଭାଗ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କରାଯାଇଛି। ବିଭାଗର ୟୁଟ୍ୟୁବ୍ ଏବଂ ଫେସବୁକ୍ ଚାନେଲ୍ରେ ମଧ୍ଯ ଏହାର ସିଧାପ୍ରସାରଣ ଦେଖିପାରିବେ।

Governor dissolved Odisha Assembly ahead of counting of polls
The Odisha Legislative Assembly has been dissolved by Governor Raghubar Das following the recommendation of a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on 3rd June, 2024.
Odisha Legislative Assembly constituted vide Notification No.308/OR-LA/2019 dated 25th May, 2019 of Election Commission of India shall stand dissolved with effect from the date a newly elected Legislature is constituted by the Election Commission of India.

Odisha Assembly Adjourned Sine Die a day ahead of schedule
The monsoon session of Odisha Assembly was adjourned sine die on Tuesday by Speaker Pramilla Mallick a day before its scheduled date.
The Monsoon session of the Assembly commenced on September 22 and was to end on October 4, but the Speaker adjourned the house on Tuesday.
The House passed the first supplementary statement of expenditure and the Appropriation bill on the first supplementary budget for 2023-24 and presented the CAG report in the House.
