Fourteenth Session of the Sixteenth Odisha Legislative Assembly which commenced on the 21st November, 2023 has been adjourned sine-die on the 24th November, 2023.
The Fourteenth Session of the Sixteenth Assembly will commence on November 21 and conclude on December 30. The winter session will have a total of 30 business days.

The monsoon session of Odisha Assembly was adjourned sine die on Tuesday by Speaker Pramilla Mallick a day before its scheduled date.
The Monsoon session of the Assembly commenced on September 22 and was to end on October 4, but the Speaker adjourned the house on Tuesday.
The House passed the first supplementary statement of expenditure and the Appropriation bill on the first supplementary budget for 2023-24 and presented the CAG report in the House.
The Monsoon Session (13th) of Sixteenth Odisha Legislative Assembly will be held from September 22 to October 4.
On the day beginning of session, Finance Minister will present First Supplementary Statement of Expenditure for the year 2023-2024. Appropriation Bill will be placed on 3rd October.
Budget Session 2023 of Odisha Assembly will start from February 21 and continue till April 6.
The session will start with the address of Governor Ganeshi Lal on February 21. The motion of thanks on the Governor's speech will be moved on the same day. Further discussion on the Governor's address will be held on February 22 and 23.
State Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the annual Budget for the year 2023-24 on February 24 while general discussion on the Budget will start from February 27. The appropriation bill will be laid before the House on March 31.
There will be a gap of seven days from March 2 to 9 during the session. There will be no business on all second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays, March 30 (Shreeram Navami) and April 1 (Odisha Day).
The winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly is scheduled to begin from November 24 and continue till December 31. The session will have 33 working days and 5 ‘no meeting’ days.
The first supplementary statement of expenditure for the year 2022-23 will be presented in the House on November 24 and the Appropriation Bill on the first supplementary statement of expenditure will be tabled on December 2.
Senior BJD MLA and former Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha was on Monday elected as Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly unopposed due to absence of any rival candidate.
The Monsoon Session of the House will begin on 2 July and continue till 4 August. There will be 24 working days in this session of the House.
Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari will present the full-fledged Budget for the financial year 2022-23 before the Odisha Legislative Assembly on the first day i.e. July 2.
While the Budget will be presented on 2 July, official business will be taken up for discussion on 4 July. There will be general discussion on the annual Budget on 5-6 July. The House will remain closed from 7-12 July. Reports of the Departmentally Related Standing Committee will be presented before the House on 13 July.
As per the schedule, discussion on demands for grants will be held in the Assembly between 14 July and 20 July (excluding Sundays). The Appropriation Bill will be tabled on 29 July.
