As far base level post is concerned, sanction strength of ASO increased from 1580 to 1589. Some of the youtubers post this information in a wrong way. As per them, vacancy has increased and in coming recruitment a revised vacancy will be there.
But as a part of OSS Cadre, we want to clarify that creation and abolition of posts based on requirement is a regular process. As per present status, out of 1589 sanctioned posts, only 716 ASOs are present. Hence there is a total vacancy of 873 posts in this cadre.
If you ask about, coming recruitment by OPSC, it is only 796 posts for which requisition has been sent bt Home Department based on vacancy for the year 2021. Hence we can't expect any revision further.
