Workshop on CSMS of OPSC

OPSC have launched Comprehensive Selection Management System (CSMS) developed by NIC on 05th Feb, 2020 to streamline & automate the process of recruitment in order to ensure accuracy, transparency and also to reduce the lead-time to publish the results.
The recruitment process has been automated to help in carrying out direct recruitments to Group_'A" & "B" posts carrying Level-10 & above conducted by OPSC as well as recruitment examination of Assistant Section Officers
The multilingual Web portal has been implemented to provide a back to back automation solution across all the recruitment and selection activities.
It will enable to smoothly carry out all recruitment related functionalities starting form online Requisition, online application & scrutiny, online centre
allocation, conduct of examination and evaluation of various tests like Physical
Efficiency Tests, Preliminary Examination, Written Tests, Computer  Tests & Practical Skill Personality Test, preparation and publication of merit and select lists, sponsoring of selected candidates, document verification and reporting of joining etc. Henceforth, the Requisitioning Authorities will be able to submit requisitions online to the OPSC through the CSMS.

ln this context, a training programme for Nodal Officers dealing with establishment of different cadres preferably Under Secretary and above along with concerned ASO/SO/DO of all departments was held on 07.03.2020 from 11 AM to 1:30 PM in the Conference Hall No-3 of Lokseva Bhawan (near RD Department).

"Seeing the immense potential of India, the Department of Tourism was formed to promote international and domestic tourism in the country. Out of turn promotion

Odisha Government Officers doing ‘Exemplary Service’ will get early promotion with the State Government notifying the Odisha Civil Services (Out Of Turn Promotion) Rules, 2020.

On 17 December, 2019, the State Cabinet approved the proposed Rules and now with the notification of GA& PG Department, this comes to force immediately. This step is taken as a move of transformational agenda of 5T Charter of Governance and accordingly an official structure has been formed to provide ‘Out Of Turn Promotion’ for exceptional performances.
