Reservation in higher studies for Govt School students : Resolution passed in Assembly

Resolution brought by Honble CM to reserve 15% of seats in Medical & Engg colleges for Govt school students passed by Assembly. High Power committee recommended it. Such reservation is to operate HORIZONTALLY covering all vertical reservations & General un-reserved groups.

Those who want to have clarity about Vertical & Horizontal reservations, they can read the Indra Sawhney judgement which has been quoted by the High Power Committee while recommending 15% reservation.

CM quoted from HPC report to tell the Assembly that 86% of students are in Govt schools & they get 23% of seats in State medical colleges & 21% in State Engg colleges. "This clearly shows that there is inequity..& it affects majority.."
