DA hike of 3% for State Government Employees
ଦୀପାବଳି ପୂର୍ବରୁ ମାନ୍ୟବର ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଶ୍ରୀ ମୋହନ ମାଝୀ ଙ୍କ ଘୋଷଣା ।
ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାରୀ କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କ ମହଙ୍ଗା ଭତ୍ତାରେ ତିନି ପ୍ରତିଶତ ବୃଦ୍ଧି । ଏହା ଫଳରେ ସରକାରୀ କର୍ମଚାରୀଙ୍କ ମହଙ୍ଗା ଭତ୍ତା ୫୫ ପ୍ରତିଶତରୁ ୫୮ ପ୍ରତିଶତକୁ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇଲା । ଏହା ଜୁଲାଇ ପହିଲା ୨୦୨୫ରୁ ପିଚ୍ଛିଲା ଭାବରେ ଲାଗୁ ହେବ । ଏହି ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିତ ମହଙ୍ଗା ଭତ୍ତା ଚଳିତ ଅକ୍ଟୋବର ମାସ ଦରମାରେ ନଗଦ ଆକାରରେ ମିଳିବ ।
ପେନ୍ସନଭୋଗୀମାନଙ୍କ ଟି.ଆଇ ରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତିନି ପ୍ରତିଶତ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ହୋଇଛି । ଅନୁରୂପ ଭାବେ ଅକ୍ଟୋବର ମାସ ପେନ୍ସନରେ ଏହି ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିତ ଟି.ଆଇ ମିଳିବ । ଏହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରାୟ ସାଢେ ଆଠ ଲକ୍ଷ ସରକାରୀ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ଓ ପେନ୍ସନଭୋଲ୍ଗୀ ଉପକୃତ ହେବେ।

All-India CPI-IW for May, 2025 reached at 144.0 : Expected DA hike 2% to 3%
As per Press Release Dt.30.06.2025 of Labour Bureau, Govt. of India, the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AICPI-IW) for the month of May, 2025 has increased by 0.5 point and stood at 144.0 (PRESS RELEASE.PDF)
Hence based on the AICPI-IW of last 12 months, the Dearness Allowance (DA) may increased by 2% to 3% as during July 2025. Accordingly the DA may be expected to reach 57% or 58%.
It is to be noted that DA for Government employees is being increased twice in a year i.e. in January and July.
DA Calculation:
Avg AICPI of past 12 months = (141.4 + 142.7 + 142.6 + 143.3 + 144.5 + 144.5 + 143.7 + 143.2 + 142.8 + 143 + 143.5 + 144.0) x /12 = 143.27

Cabinet approves additional instalment of three percent of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to Pensioners
The Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 01.07.2024 representing an increase of three percent (3%) over the existing rate of 50% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate against price rise.
This increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission. The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both DA and DR would be Rs.9,448.35 crore per annum.
This will benefit about 49.18 lakh central government employees and 64.89 lakh pensioners.

Cabinet approves additional instalment of Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief to Central Government employees and pensioners
49.18 lakh employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners to benefit
4% benefit to cost Rs.12,868.72 crore per annum to exchequer
The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners w.e.f. 1.1.2024 representing an increase of 4% over the existing rate of 46% of the Basic Pay/Pension, to compensate against price rise.
The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief would be Rs.12,868.72 crore per annum. This will benefit about 49.18 lakh Central Government employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners.
This increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

CM announces 4% DA hike for Govt employees and pensioners.
Hon'ble CM Sri Naveen patnaik today announced 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI) for Govt employees and pensioners.
•The State Government announced release of 4 percent additional dose of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (TI) in favour of State Government Employees and Pensioners respectively to enhance the rate from 42% to 46%.
•The enhanced DA and TI will be paid from 1st July, 2023 retrospectively.
•This will benefit 4.5 lakh State Government employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners.

AICPIN for June 2023 : Expected DA 46%
Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (2016=100) for the month of June, 2023 has been issued by Labour Bureau, Government of India. The All India CPI-IW for June,, 2023 has been increased by 1.7 points and stood at 136.4. Hence, if calculated, as per formula, the Dearness Allowance is expected 46%.
