SOP for movement of Indian Nationals stranded abroad

HMO India issues SOPs for movement of Indian Nationals stranded outside the country, as well as, for those persons stranded in India who are desirous to travel abroad for urgent reasons


In the first week (7-13 May), Government of India plans to evacuate approximately 14,800 stranded Indians in 64 Airindian flights. (Airindia : 40 and Air India Express : 24)

10 flights will operate from UAE, 2 from Qatar, 5 from Saudi Arabia, 7 from UK, 5 from Singapore, 7 from USA, 5 from Philippines, 7 from Bangladesh, 2 from Bahrain, 7 from Malaysia, 5 from Kuwait & 2 from Oman.

Buses can ply in green zones

Indian Nationals stranded abroad can return from 7th May

Movement facilitation not applied to people residing outside normally

Permission of MHA to facilitate movement of stranded persons who had moved from their native places/workplaces just before the lockdown period but could not return to their native place on account of restrictions placed on movement of persons and vehicles as part of lockdown measures. The facilitation is just for these categorirs of stranded people but not to the extend of people residing outside normally  for purpose of work and wish to back normally.

Categorisation of Districts for the weeks from 4th May

N.B.-  Ministry of H&FW has identified 3 Districts as Red Zone, 6 Districts as Orange Zone and rest districts as Green Zone. But Govt of Odisha has added BMC area into Red Zone and 5 more districts into Orange Zone.
