Just one month left for completion of two years of the present body governing OSSA.
If we look at the procedures followed for the election of OSSA, then from the beginning of July a general body should be called for discussion and decision.

10-13 July : Nomination
14th July : Scrutinising documents
15th July : Nomination withdrawal and Final list of contesting candidates
29th July : Polling
30th July : Vote counting & Result declaration
31st July : Oath taking

Result : General Secretary and one Secretary from one panel whereas other six posts including president from another panel and one of the vice president was elected from new ASO panel.
Major happenings in two years-
1. OSS Amendment Rules 2019 ( reducing year of promotion from ASO to SO from 12 years to 8 years)
2. Cadre restructuring ( Abolition of 237 ASO posts and increasing US to AS posts from 7% to 12%)
3. Mass number of promotion
4. 4th Saturday declared as general holiday
5. Mass transfer of those working more than 10 years In a particular Department
6. Donation of Rs.1 Lakh by OSSA to CM Relief Fund for FANI
7. Wishing Honble CM on every special occasion
Failure in this term
1. 4600 Grade pay of ASOs remained like a dream
2. Reducing years of promotion from ASO to SO from 12 years to 6 years not possible
3. Issuing health insurance as like CG employees still pending
4. Demand of 5-days office in a week

5. Unavailbility of a play ground for OSS employees
6. Selection of 9 executive members for OSSA was not possible
7. Unable to arrange GB meeting in regular manner as per Constitution of OSSA. The only Meeting was on 16.04.2018.
8. Unable to Make financial transactions transparent to members for which ASOs had to make agitation at OSSA house.
OSSA Election 2019
Although it's the perfect time to start election process, but it doesn't seem that election can be conducted in right time. Most probably all are waiting for joining of new 500 ASOs. After their entry to OSS Cadre, the strength of ASO will be around 1400. So this time, participation of ASO panel for their major demand of 4600 grade pay may keep more importance in this election. Still then process should be started.
We can hope for betterment of OSSA and make amendment of its Constitution for avoiding any further litigation.
