Promotion of 32 Section Officers to the rank of Desk Officer

32 Section Officers of Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) have been promoted to their higher rank i.e. Desk Officer. There are 24-UR, 5-SC and 3-ST posts among these officers. 

MHA extends Covid guidelines till 30th June

The Union Home Ministry issued an order to all states and union territories on Thursday to extend the Covid-related guidelines till 30 June to stem the spread of coronavirus.

In 2020 & 2021, a good number of OSS officers have availed promotion to their higher ranks. Although the promotion of ASOs to the rank of Section Officers has been stayed by Honble High Court, but from Section Officer to Additional Secretary, promotion process is going on based on vacancies.

As per new recommendations of NEGVAC, COVID19 vaccination to be deferred by 3 months after recovery from the illness

If infected with COVID after 1st dose, 2nd dose to be deferred by 3 months after clinical recovery from COVID-19 illness

As a step towards merger of Secretariat with Heads of Department (HoD), it was decided to stop recruitment towards the post of Junior Assistant in HoD to make their cadre dying on abolition of posts being vacant due to retirement or promotion. In this regard some major steps have already been taken.

Covid management at village level : Decisions in all party meeting

Addressing an all-party meet, CM @Naveen_Odisha said that Odisha’s healthcare system has responded well without getting overwhelmed like in other parts of the country. CM said that the state administration & medical personnel deserve appreciation for managing situation so well.

Government fixes maximum hiring charges for Ambulances.

The Odisha government today fixed the rates for Ambulance services of Private Hospitals and Private Ambulance Operators functioning in the State. Separate charges has been fixed for Patient Transport Ambulance (PTA), Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance and Advance Life Support (ALS) Ambulance.

SoP for pre-urban, rural and tribal areas

COVID-19 outbreak in the country is still predominantly an urban phenomenon. However, besides urban areas reporting a large number of cases, a gradual ingress is now being seen in peri-urban, rural and tribal areas as well. In view of this there is a need to enable communities, strengthen primary level healthcare infrastructure at all levels to intensify COVID-19 response in peri-urban, rural & tribal areas, while continuing to provide other essential health services.
