In the history of Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) Cadre, first time such a large number (533) of Assistant Section Officers have been promoted to the rank of Section Officer. (Notification) Hence, everyone outside this service are anxious to know the salary structure and work assignment for this post.
Post Classification : Group B (Gazetted)
As per Secretariat Instructions, Section Officers or Desk Officers are In-charge of a section in concerned Department. With the help of one or more ASOs, the SO/DO manages the works assigned to the Section. They can also make true copy attestation of original certificates and documents as a Gazetted Officer. (Office Memorandum)
Probation : On promotion to the post of Section Officer, they will be on probation for a period of one year.
Pay Structure :
As per 6th Pay : Basic Pay ₹9300-34800 + GP ₹4600
As per 7th Pay : Basic Pay ₹44,900/-
Gross Salary = ₹55,313/-
- BP = ₹44,900/-
- DA@17% = ₹7,633 /-
- HRA@20% as per 6th Pay = ₹2,780 /-
* If DA becomes 28%, the Gross will be ₹44900 + ₹12572 + ₹2780 = ₹60,252/-
