Monsoon Session of parliament concludes
Lok Sabha adjourned sine die today. 17 Sittings were held during Monsoon Session which commenced on 19 July. In all, 20 important bills including Constitution (127th Amendment) Bill, Taxation Laws (Amendment) Bill & Insolvency and Bankruptcy code (Amendment) Bill were passed.

Neeraj Chopra, Javelin thrower
The 23-year-old Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra created history by wining Gold medal in men's javelin throw at Tokyo Olympic today. Chopra gave his best throw of 87.58 to bag the gold medal. With this, he has become the first Indian athlete to win gold ever and India's second ever individual Olympic gold medalist after shooter Abhinav Bindra, who bagged gold in Beijing 2008.

The All India CPI-IW for June, 2021 increased by 1.1 points and stood at 121.7 which was 120.6 in May, 2021. Based on CPI-IW of last twelve months, the Dearness Allowance is expected to reach at 31%.
