There is good news for the candidates selected for recruitment to the post of Jr DEO in State Secretariat. Although they have sent medical fitness certificate to Home Department, still they are waiting for their appointment order. Their doubt regarding their appointment is now cleared. Their appointment has been approved by Government and posting will be there very soon.
Recently a meeting was organised among secretaries of some key departments to put their views regarding need of DEO Cadre along with Stenographer Cadre in Secretariat. In this meeting, decision was made to declare DEO cadre as a dying cadre i.e. the posts lying vacant due to death, promotion or retirement will be abolished. There will be no recruitment after the appointment of Jr DEOs whose recruitment process is over and Government order has been obtained for their appointment.
