In response to a RTI Application, the sanction strength and man in position of OSS Cadre has been received from Home (OSS) Departmen on 22.06.2021 as below.
As per the above table, there is a huge vacancy in the rank of Section Officer.
Still case is pending before Hon'ble High Court for a long time and the promotion from ASO to SO is not happening. The hierarchy of the OSS cadre will be disbalanced if no promotion will happen from ASO to SO as SO is a vital post in OSS Cadre and new ASO recruitment future as well as promotion would not happen even after large scale vacancy on under secretary and above by end on 2023 due to the uncertainty in ASO to SO promotion. It will destroy the promotional opportunity of new dynamic youth in ASO cadre.
