The last message of a friend before death

We, the so called educated people are always busy with social media. Once being habituated with any platform, we try our best to utilize it in full phase of our life. If any platform is closed or banned, then sufficient alternatives are available.

The only difference between yesterday and today is that, we are up-to-date with each and every information on the same day. But few years back we had to wait for next day newspaper to know the details
When it was a promise of Government to make mobile phones available to a beggar also, we were taking it as a joke. But now it's the reality. In our school days, on the day of opening school, we asked our classmates / friends about the enjoyment during vacation. But now a days, no need to ask if you are using Facebook, WhatsApp or Instagram.

Similarly, everyone is always ready to take the credit of being first to circulate any forwarded message to their near and dear ones. When someone wishes birthday or death news in a group, then you can see series of wishes like happy birthday and rest in peace  continuously. Within those wishes if someone posts any important information then it may not come to notice of all.

The reason behind writting the above paragraph relates to one of the message sent by our friend late Dalimba Nayak, ASO who breathed her last yesterday.

Earlier, in the woeful case of our friend Late Rxxxx Jani, ASO, late Hxxxx Behera ,ASO who passed away untimely and another Smt Rxxx Pradhan, ASO who is under treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), entire Secretariat, regardless of group, class and even cadre set an example of humanity and brotherhood. We have been able to collect a handsome amount of fund to mitigate sorrow of the bereaved family to some extent as well as treatment for such disease.
But it's sorry to say that, very few of us were aware of the case relating late Dalimba Nayak, ASO, Transport Department. She had posted the above message personally in some groups few days back. But this was unnoticed because of so many reasons. One of friends Bijayinee Hembram, ASO brought it to our notice with a proposal to help generously for the ailing friend Miss Nayak. But it was too late.

While we have set a milestone of generosity in some friend's case, unfortunately we could not realise the gravity of the need of the friend who was fighting for life against such a malignant disease. Finally she left this world yesterday. Nothing left with us except a wish of Rest in Peace.

In the aforesaid case, we should be aware of such type of information and to share in different groups for a large circulation among all of us. In this crowd of social message platforms, news channels and e-papers everyone is overloaded with information. But the important ones should not be skipped or ignored.

Second thing is about health insurance schemes. Now a days, a Government employee is not able to save a good amount because of his salary is just hand to mouth. Also there is no GPF or Pension if joined w.e.f. 01.01.2005. So it's not always possible to pay the high premium demands of insurance companies. But Group Insurance Scheme may help these middle income groups. Although Public Enterprises Department acts as the Nodal Department for such insurance of Government employees, but a major part of us are not aware of the scheme and it's facilities.
Hence its the right time to think about health of a Government Servant as well as it's family members.
