The All India CPI-IW for July, 2021 increased by 1.1 points and stood at 122.8 which was 121.7 in June, 2021. Based on CPI-IW of last twelve months, the Dearness Allowance is expected to reach at 32%.

DA Calculation :

Avg AICPI of past 12 months =
{ 338 + (118.1 + 119.5 + 119.9 + 118.8 + 118.2 + 119.0 + 119.6 + 120.1 + 120.6 + 121.7+122.8)*2.88 } /12 = 344.59

Dearness Allowance =
(Avg. AICPI - 261.4) *100  / 261.4  = (344.59- 261.4)*100 / 261.4 = 31.8%

N.B. Recently Government of India has declared DA @28% w.e.f. 01.07.2021 as the last three instalments were freezed due to Covid pandemic.
