Shops dealing with food and essential items are allowed to operate between 7:00AM to 1:00PM on 24th May, 2021 and 25th May, 2021 in 10 districts namely Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbhanj, Keinjhar, Puri, Jajpur, Cuttack & Khurda.

New Recommendations of NEGVAC accepted by Union Ministry of Health
As per new recommendations of NEGVAC, COVID19 vaccination to be deferred by 3 months after recovery from the illness
If infected with COVID after 1st dose, 2nd dose to be deferred by 3 months after clinical recovery from COVID-19 illness
COVID-19 vaccination recommended for all Lactating Women
Khallikote University to be merged with Berhampur University
Only a year after being accorded university status, the Khallikote University will now be amalgamated with the Berhampur University (BU) w.e.f 01.10.2021.

SoP for pre-urban, rural and tribal areas
COVID-19 outbreak in the country is still predominantly an urban phenomenon. However, besides urban areas reporting a large number of cases, a gradual ingress is now being seen in peri-urban, rural and tribal areas as well. In view of this there is a need to enable communities, strengthen primary level healthcare infrastructure at all levels to intensify COVID-19 response in peri-urban, rural & tribal areas, while continuing to provide other essential health services.
