Tentative Schedule of examinations conducted by OSSC

Odisha Staff Selection Commission has tentatively scheduled/ Re-scheduled the following examinations to be conducted during the month of June 2021 onwards. The schedules are subject to change depending on the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

Functioning of Government Offices during extended lockdown-3

Government in GA&PG Department have issued order regarding functioning of Government Offices during the extended lock down period on account of COVID with effect from 1st June, 2021 till 16th June, 2021.

All the Departments of the Government shall function with 30% strength of employees and officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary & above should attend office daily.

Farewell Ceremony for two OSS officers in Works Department

31.05.2021 : Sri Chittaranjan Praharaj, Under Secretary and Sri Fakir Charan Sethy, Desk Officer of Works Department got retired from Government service today on attaining the age of Superannuation. As a tradition, a farewell ceremony was organised by Nirman Bibhag Sanskrutik Parishad in the Conference Hall of this Department. In view of current COVID pandemic in the state, this program was organised with only 8-10 Officers maintaining Covid appropriate behaviours.

19 OSS officers are going to retire from govt service on attaining age of superannuation today i.e. 31.05.2021. We wish them a happy retirement life. May God give them good health and good time with family members during the next innings of their life.

Lockdown extended till 17th June in Odisha

The lockdown 2.0 in the wake of the second wave of the pandemic which was scheduled to end on June 1 has been further extended by Government of Odisha till June 17.

Promotion of 32 Section Officers to the rank of Desk Officer

32 Section Officers of Odisha Secretariat Service (OSS) have been promoted to their higher rank i.e. Desk Officer. There are 24-UR, 5-SC and 3-ST posts among these officers.

The Union Home Ministry issued an order to all states and union territories on Thursday to extend the Covid-related guidelines till 30 June to stem the spread of coronavirus.

In 2020 & 2021, a good number of OSS officers have availed promotion to their higher ranks. Although the promotion of ASOs to the rank of Section Officers has been stayed by Honble High Court, but from Section Officer to Additional Secretary, promotion process is going on based on vacancies.

Get your COVID test report at home

Now people don’t have to run to the testing centers and laboratories and stand in long queues to get their Covid-19 test reports as Odisha government has launched a website to get the test reports online.
