Kandhamal district has won the National Level SKOCH Award (Silver)under aspirational district category for the year 2020 for its innovative project-"Implementation of Delivery Van,Bike Ambulance & Janani Auto to improve the maternal health"

Nabarangpur district has won the National Level SKOCH Award (Platinum) under aspirational district category for the year 2020 for "Farm-based scientific & technological intervention for socio-economic development".

International Yoga Day 2020

MBBS student of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, has topped the All India AIIMS

Dr Vineetha K, an MBBS student of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, has topped the All India AIIMS – PG Entrance Examination (July Session) by securing 100 per centile marks. Out of the 4,335 candidates scoring ranks, 74 are from AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, which has excelled in this year’s exam compared to its counterparts in other cities. All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi has announced AIIMS PG Result for July 2020 session on June 18, 2020 at its official website i.e. www.aiimsexams.org 

AIIMS conducts the entrance examination twice a year i.e. in the month of January and July. After clearing AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), students can get admission in various postgraduate courses such as MD/ MDS/ MS/ DM/ M.CH Programme. Students get admission in a particular course based on their performance in the exam.

SC said “Art 25 of the Constitution of India itself confers the right to profess & propagate religion subject to health. We accordingly direct that there shall be no Ratha Yatra anywhere in the temple town of Odisha or in any part of the state this year” (DOWNLOAD.PDF)

9th June : Odisha High Court Judgement

AICPIN declared for April 2020

Even though the additional dearness allowance is frozen from January 2020 to June 2021 to all Central government employees and pensioners, the calculation of Dearness allowance is an ongoing process! As per the press release of the AICPIN for the month of April 2020, the index is increased by three points from its existing level. Now, the AICPIN is standing at 329. (Click for Press Release)

Still, we could not calculate the accurate percentage of Dearness allowance with effect from July 2020. We need two more months’ of AICPIN for May and June.

After releasing the AICPIN for the month of April 2020, the next stage of expected DA calculation is 23%. But employees are getting @17% w.e.f.July 2019 till date.

Relaxation of Night Curfew Ahead Of Raja Festival

Ahead of the three-day Raja Festival beginning from June 14, the Odisha government on Thursday relaxed the night curfew to enable the people to do their pre-festival shopping.

The Night Curfew on FRIDAY i.e. 12th June, 2020 will be effected from 10.00PM instead of 7.00PM.

Dr. Sanatan Rath passed away...

Eminent neurosurgeon Dr. Sanatan Rath passed away today at the age of 86 in his Cuttack residence. He was suffering from cancer and other old-age related complications for quite some time, his family sources said. Prof. Rath was born on July 25, 1934. After completing his Master of Surgery in Neurosurgery from Christian Medical College, Vellore in 1965, he joined as an Assistant professor of Neurosurgery in SCB Medical College and Hospital and was later appointed head of the department.
