Gold Medal in Olympics for India : NIRAJ CHOPRA

Neeraj Chopra, Javelin thrower

The 23-year-old Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra created history by wining Gold medal in men's javelin throw at Tokyo Olympic today. Chopra gave his best throw of 87.58 to bag the gold medal. With this, he has become the first Indian athlete to win gold ever and India's second ever individual Olympic gold medalist after shooter Abhinav Bindra, who bagged gold in Beijing 2008.

The All India CPI-IW for June, 2021 increased by 1.1 points and stood at 121.7 which was 120.6 in May, 2021. Based on CPI-IW of last twelve months, the Dearness Allowance is expected to reach at 31%.

India win Bronze🥉 Medal

Indian men's hockey team defeated Germany 5-4 in the bronze medal play-offs at the Tokyo Olympics today. Indian men's hockey team won an Olympic medal after a gap of 41 years. India's last of the eight Olympic golds came way back in the 1980 Moscow Games.

With this win, the medals reached 4 for India. (One Silver & Three Bronzes)

RTPCR / Vaccination report not required to enter Odisha


Government offices to remain opened on Saturdays (except 2nd & 4th)

State Government has restored the timing for functioning of all of its offices from August, 2021 onwards.

As per order of the GA&PG Department, all departments of the State Government and Sub-ordinate Offices in the State will function with full strength of employees with immediate effect until further orders.

However, all the State Government Offices will remain closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays and continue to function on other Saturdays of the month.

After declaration of DA unfreeze w.e.f July, 2021, now Government employees are to get Salary with DA @28%. As it is clearly mentioned that no arrears will be paid from January, 2020 to June, 2021, hence we have made an attempt to calculate the loss suffered by employees during the said period.
