High Court directed OPSC to publish merit list as per 2016 policy : Judgement reserved
Hearing the petitions on ASO Written Examination Result published on November 7, 2022, the High Court has reserved the judgment which is expected to be released in next two days. However, based on statements of both advocates as given to media, OPSC will publish marks of all candidates publicly (not individually) to maintain transparency.

Process starts for promotion of Desk Officers
Home Department has sought for CCR/PAR, Vigilance Clearance and Departmental Proceedings pending (if any) of 239 Desk Officers from concerned offices. It is expected to give promotion to Desk Officers very soon. It is noted that in the recent restructuring of OSS cadre, 120 posts have been upgraded in Group-A.

Second GC Meeting of OSSA on 4th November
The 2nd General Council Meeting of Odisha Secretariat Service Association (OSSA) is going to be held today i.e. on 4th November, 2022 at OSSA House, Kharvel Nagar. All GC Members have been invited to this meeting for discussion on different agenda items.
It is noted that the present elected body of OSSA is trying to organize EB, GC & GB meetings in regular interval to discuss and decide various pending demands and put the same before Government for the welfare of it's members. The first GC Meeting was held on 23rd June, 2022.
Recently, as a part of cadre restructuring, 120 posts of Group-A have been upgraded with creation of 26 posts which is considered to be a great achievement for OSS cadre as well as the present OSSA Executives.

Odisha Assembly Winter Session to begin from Nov 24
The winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly is scheduled to begin from November 24 and continue till December 31. The session will have 33 working days and 5 ‘no meeting’ days.
The first supplementary statement of expenditure for the year 2022-23 will be presented in the House on November 24 and the Appropriation Bill on the first supplementary statement of expenditure will be tabled on December 2.
