DEMAND for DIGNITY

The members of Odisha Secretariat Service Association (OSSA) on Friday staged a black badge protest in front of Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar demanding the increase of the salary of ASO to Level 10. The Sangh members wore black badges and staged the demonstration.

ଦୀର୍ଘ ୧୫ ବର୍ଷର ଦାବୀ ସଚିବାଳୟ ଏଏସଓ ଙ୍କ ଲେବଲ-୧୦ (ଗ୍ରେଡ ପେ ୪୬୦୦) ଦରମା ନେଇ ଆଜି ଲୋକସେବା ଭବନରେ ଏକ ବିଶାଳ ବିକ୍ଷୋଭ ସମାବେଶ ଦେଖାଦେଇଥିଲା। ମଧ୍ଯାହ୍ନ ସମୟରେ ହଜାର ହଜାର ଅଧିକାରୀ ହାତରେ ପ୍ଲାକାର୍ଡ, କଳା ବ୍ୟାଚ ଏପରିକି ଲେବଲ-୧୦ ଲିଖିତ ଟି-ସାର୍ଟ ପିନ୍ଧି ପଞ୍ଚାୟତିରାଜ ବିଭାଗ ସାମ୍ନା ଲନ୍ ରେ ଏକାଠି ହୋଇଥିଲେ।

ଆସନ୍ତା ଦୁଇମାସ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ନୂତନ ମେରିଟ ଲିଷ୍ଟ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିବାକୁ ଅଦାଲତ ଆଦେଶ ଦେଇଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ଯ ପୁଣି କିଛି ପିଟିସନ ଦାୟର ହେବା ଯୋଗୁଁ ନିଯୁକ୍ତି ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ପୁଣି ବିଳମ୍ବିତ ହୋଇଛି।

Third GB Meeting of OSSA on 30th June

The 3rd General Body Meeting of Odisha Secretariat Service Association (OSSA) scheduled on 29.06.2023 has been shifted to 30.06.2023. 

Today Government have declared 29th June as a Government Holiday on account of Id-Ul-Zuha in stead of 30th June. Hence OSSA decided to organize it's 3rd General Body Meeting on Friday in which the members have planned to wear Black Badges to place their discontent before Government for their long pending demand of Level-10 (Grade Pay 4600) Salary to ASOs. 

Id-Ul-Zuha Holiday on 29th instead of 30th June

Both State Government offices and Banking Institutions will remain closed on 29th June instead of 30th June on account of ID-Ul-Zuha.

G.S.R. 437(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1), clause (z) of sub-section (2) of section 176 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, further to amend the Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Rules, 2020, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Amendment Rules, 2023.

Sri Santanu Mahalik, Section Officer, (Home Elections) Department passed away today at the age of 50 years. He was a 1996-97 batch OSS Officer and to retire on 30.06.2033.

Odisha Cabinet approved 15 proposals

21.06.2023 : The Odisha Cabinet today met and approved following 15 proposals. 

1. Rural Development Department :

Mukhyamantri Sadak Yojana (MMSY) : Cabinet approved ₹976 Crore for Connecting Unconnected Villages in Difficult Areas (CUVDA) with target of 361.34 kn roads in 2 years. 

Schools to reopen on 21st June with usual time

It has been decided to reopen all schools on 21st June, 2023 with regular time table. 

However, as a measure of abundant caution, Collectors of Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Angul, Subarnapur and Bolangir are authorised to shift to morning school or declare holidays if the situation so demands.

17.06.2023 : The Odisha Amala Sangha put its state-wide agitation (Mass Leave) on hold after 17 days following a discussion with the 5T Secretary through video conferencing at the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell. 

“After the discussion, we were assured that our demands will be taken into consideration. For this, a high-level committee will be formed on Monday. They have assured us that they will take a decision after discussing about our grade pay demand and how our members in districts can get promotions. We have faith in our Chief Minister so we have decided to put our strike on hold from today,”

It is noted that District Level Ministerial Officers were on mass leave w.e.f. 01.06.2023 with demand of Grade Pay ₹4200 for base level post of District Cadre Amalas.

High Court allows BDA to demolish Temple on Government Quarter premises

"In the result, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the petitioners to vacate and relocate the idol from the premises of the Govt. quarters (No.4/1, Type-II Unit-III, Bhubaneswar) under Kharavelanagar PS allotted in favour of one Pradip Kumar Mohanty within two months’ from today positively. It is further directed that in the event, the aforesaid direction is not complied with within the time stipulated, the authority concerned and in particular, BDA shall be at liberty to proceed and to take action as per and in accordance with law."
