The Monsoon Session of Parliament is likely to begin on July 19 and will go on till August 13.

N.B. The Budget Session, 2021 of Parliament, which commenced on Friday, 29 January 2021, has been adjourned sine die on Thursday, 25 March 2021.

Retirement of OSS Officers on 30.06.2021

Fourteen OSS officers are going to retire from Government Service on attaining age of superannuation on 30.06.2021. There are 3 Deputy Secretaries, 4 Under Secretaries, 3 Desk Officers, 1 Section Officer and 3 Assistant Section Officers in the list. We wish their happy retirement life.

Vacation of stay after six months unless granted extension for good reasons

Hon'ble Supreme Court have observed that as per decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court clarified in MA No. 1577/2020 vide order dated 15.10.2020, any stay order passed by any Court cannot remain effective beyond six months unless a specific order has been passed by the Court.

Reminder : Double dose vaccination mandatory for Government Employees from July, 2021

As per the Government orders on 18.06.2021 (Download. PDF) it is mandatory to be fully vaccinated (double dose) for attendance of Office in July, 2021. Therefore, those who have not received vaccine without any reason, shall remain responsible for non-attendance of Office. Those who have not received vaccine on medical ground for self or family, shall obtain clearance / permission of the Head of the Department for entry into Government Office.

As far Employees of different Departments in Secretariat and all HoDs / PSU at Bhubaneswar concerned, the vaccination camp will continue till 26.06.2021 Saturday at Convention Centre, Lokseva Building premises, Bhubaneswar. Hence every employees should be vaccinated before July.

Updation of e - Service Book by 31st July

The online updation of Service Book and Disciplinary Proceeding data has started from the month of April, 2021. To facilitate the process, several rounds of training program have been imparted. All concerned authorities have been communicated to mobilize the required manpower and computer hardware besides undertaking regular review of the progress of updation. The Department wise and District wise progress report as on 18.06.2021 shows that very few Departments / Districts have undertaken the work in right earnest.

Sad News : Manas Ranjan Jena, Desk Officer passed away

Manas Ranjan Jena (55 yr), Desk Officer of Steel & Mines Department passes away today i.e. 22.06.2021. He was under treatment  for COVID-19 in KIIMS Hospital since last one month.

On behalf of OSS Cadre, we sincerely condole the sad demise of the Sri Jena. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

N.B. Within a period of two months, OSS Cadre has lost its 9 (Nine) Officers among which 4-Under Secretaries, 2-Desk Officers, 1-Section Officer and 2-Assistant Section Officers are there.

Review meeting on pending recruitments in OPSC / OSSC / OSSSC

It is observed that some Recruitments are pending with Commissions due to clarification sought from the administrative departments. Hence a review meeting is scheduled to be held on 22.06.2021 under the Chairmanship of ACS, GA & PG Department to review pending and ongoing recruitments of OPSC, OSSC & OSSSC.

No. PFRDA/12/RGL/139/8.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 52 read with sub-clause (g), (h), and (i) of sub-section 2 of Section 52 of the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Act, 2013 (Act No.23 of 2013), the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Exits and Withdrawals under the National Pension System) Regulations, 2015 namely, –

  1. These regulations may be called the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (Exits and Withdrawals under the National Pension System) (Amendment) Regulations, 2021.

Free vaccination to all citizens w.e.f. 21st June : MHA advisory to follow fivefold strategy

As declared by Hon'ble Prime Minister, new vaccination strategy for Covid-19 will be implemented across the country w.e.f. 21st June, 2021. The central government will now buy 75% of vaccines and give them free of cost to states. The system of 25% vaccines being procured directly by private hospitals will continue. State governments will monitor that only 150 service charge is levied by private hospitals over the decided price of the vaccines,

In this regard, DO letter has been issued to all States by MHA with advisory to follow Five-fold strategy i.e. Covid Appreciate Behavior - Test - Track - Treat - Vaccination.
