Cabinet approves increase in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief

The Cabinet Committee chaired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today has approved increase the Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to pensioners with effect from 01.07.2021 to 28% representing an increase of 11% over the existing rate of 17% of the Basic Pay/Pension.

Amendment in Training policy of ASOs in Central Secretariat Service (CSS)
As per the approval, the existing 12 weeks’ Foundation Training Programme for Assistant Section Officers (Probationers) has been re-designed into 108 weeks training programme. However, out of the 108 weeks, class room/full time engagement will only be for 16 weeks.

Regret to inform that Akshay Kumar Jena, Desk Officer, Planning & Convergence Department expired today around 7.30 AM at a Private Hospital in Bhubaneswar.
He was very sincere and hard worker though suffering from Cancer for a decade. Besides, he was a very sober gentle man.
Pray Lord Jagannath for complete salvation of his pious soul. Om Shanti.

The All India CPI-IW for May, 2021 increased by 0.5 points and stood at 120.6 which was 120.1 in April, 2021. Based on CPI-IW of last twelve months, the Dearness Allowance is expected to reach at 30%.
